UNIVERSAL DESIGN

As the only home builder currently advising the Inclusive Design Alliance (IDA), Pete Uetrecht is leading the St. Louis region in partnership with key disability advocates such as Colleen Starkloff and Lori Becker, executive director of the Starkloff Disability Institute, along with other local occupational therapists in empowering St. Louis to embrace inclusive design that promotes the health and wellness of family and friends.

In addition to focusing their design talents on Universal Design, both Pete and Jennifer earned their CAPS (Certified Aging in Place Specialist) designation through the National Association of Home Builders.  Additionally, Pete also sits on the Custom Home Builder’s Council of the Home Builder’s Association of St. Louis. While focusing on elegance in design, beauty and functionality, Compass Design Build is utilizing their unique knowledge in designing all homes they build.
